Feeling run down? Sleeping more and eating less? Wishing you didn’t have class at 8:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

Sound like you’ve got a case of the NOVEMBERS

Every winter thousands of Canadians experience what is known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (or S.A.D.) due to low sunlight exposure1. In fact, it is estimated that 15% of Canadians will experience SAD in their lifetimes as the days get shorter and November approaches1.

The culprit – cholecalciferol, AKA vitamin D3.

Using UV sunlight, cholesterol molecules are naturally converted in the skin to cholecalciferol, which has multiple benefits but mainly aids in bone growth and maintenance.2 The less sunlight we get; the less cholecalciferol our body can make which has been associated with increased rates of depression, changes in weight, and changes in sleeping patterns in winter months.2

So if we can’t get more sun, well just have to bring the sun to your mouth!

Introducing Vitamin D3 supplements: tiny white tablets packed with the power of the sun.
In the past, the only significant source of D3 was eating fish such as Salmon, tuna, or mackerel, egg yolks, or even beef liver3 - YUCK!

Well those days our behind us now with Vitamin D3! Using synthetic cholecalciferol extracted from the wax of sheep’s wool4, Vitamin D3 supplements are sure to having you feeling your summer best in no time at all with no beef-livery flavor! Take one in the morning! One at night! One every time a bird crashes into your bedroom window! Anytime is a good time for Vitamin D3!

Warning: Cholecalciferol deficiency has not actually been proven to cause depression in a clinical setting5, nor has supplementation been proven to reduce depression symptoms5, however it is cheap and it can’t hurt so might as well buy a bottle just to be safe. Also, Vitamin D3 is highly hazardous at doses of 42 mg per kg.6 While toxic concentrations are unlikely to ever be reached using supplementation, which have approximately 0.025mg of Vitamin D per tablet, we are legally required to advise to not exceed more than 104,160 tablets per day.

And for the vegan in the family, try our lichen-extracted version!

So what are you waiting for!? Buy a bottle of vitamin D3 today and get rid of the Novembers for good!

** On a serious note, if you do feel that you may be depressed, please talk to your doctor as soon as possible. **
